HCE

A quick post to make sure that everyone understands that these chilly autumnal days in Sweden sets a perfect backdrop for live acts at various small cafees and pubs.

On saturday, the dandies saw The Bridal Shop do their final live appearance before calling it ouits! or merely changing name into something uncomfortable (”TB…A?!”). Ah who knows! The gig was great; the audience smiled. These soundwaves did make alot more sense and brought alot more feeling when performed live, with the reverb cranked way up, than they have when mastered and recorded to disc. The Bridal Shop were a fine band, sad to see them leave.

On tuesday night, ohh waves of joy! Lux Lumen played at Hogkvarteret, good venue!, and it was pure bliss. Again, someone who really should stay within the confines of “performance” that she masters so well. If not then one might make the sad mistake of trying to enjoy such a voice! whilst doing the dishes. After the gig, a group of us and discussed possible musicial connotations (early nico and velvet, hope sandoval et al) but that did not really make any sense.

Concluding, I raise my glass to the possibility that some artists will remain true to their mastery, and never ever put anything down on record! Let it be!

Two White Horses

Made up by part-isolation years and part- säkert/ingenting hang-arounds, Two White Horses does the expected thing and that’s just fine. It’s been a long time since we even thought of Isolation Years so cheers for that.

Sprucing up an oldie is always nice as well:
